Sneak Preview at Heritage Collection

Newman, CA – SCM Homes of California is putting the final touches on three spectacular model homes at their newest neighborhood in Newman, the Heritage Collection. Scheduled for an early March grand opening, the Heritage Collection represents the most state-of-the-art features, green building and energy efficiency available in today’s new home marketplace.

Homes at the Heritage Collection are preview priced from $269,900 and are situated on “huge lots” according to sales manager Dale Lovelace. “People will not believe how large their yard is at this price point,” commented Lovelace.

Three professionally decorated models are being unveiled, each showcasing the ultimate in design and detail. The single and two story designs range in size from approximately 1,681 to 2,440 square feet, with up to four bedrooms and three baths. All designs feature gourmet kitchens with oversized islands, two car garages, eight foot doors throughout, and tile roofs.

“The Heritage Collection homes are not only beautiful, they also represent the newest and best of GreenBuilt and Energy Star technology,” Lovelace continued. “These homes offer the best energy efficiency possible short of solar roof tiles.”

The Heritage Collection is situated within the desirable Sherman Ranch planned community in Newman, arguably the best neighborhood on the West side of the valley. The area features a brand new $1.3 million, 10-acre Sherman Ranch Community Park, which features soccer field, tot lot, barbecues, covered picnic area and a facility for serving refreshments that can be reserved through the City of Newman.

“Our first release of homes at Heritage Collection offers some of the most desirable locations, with sweeping views of the new park,” said Lovelace.

The Heritage Collection, as all homes within the Sherman Ranch community, enjoy the unusual benefit of no Mello Roos fees. Nearly all new homes in the surrounding areas such as Patterson and Tracy come with the added cost of a monthly Mello-Roos fee, which is an added assessment or tax that most new home buyers in California are required to pay.

Steve Mothersell of SCM Homes, the developer of Sherman Ranch said, “This is the last chance for home- buyers to purchase a home on the west side of the Central Valley that does not have added assessments. The monthly fees can add up to hundreds of dollars. At Sherman Ranch, homebuyers’ dollars go much further and can buy more home compared to other nearby new home communities.”

Situated just off Interstate 5, Sherman Ranch is a commuter-friendly location which offers an idyllic country setting amidst orchards and farmland, yet is very close to Tracy which offers numerous large shopping centers as well as the Tracy mall. Homebuyers with children will appreciate the highly regarded local Newman schools. The area is also a convenient commute via the ACE train or numerous commute routes to many of the tri-valley employment centers including Bishop Ranch, Hacienda Business Park, and Lawrence Livermore Lab.

To visit the Heritage Collection at Sherman Ranch and for a sneak preview of the model homes, from Interstate 5 take the Newman Exit east to Highway 33, turn right on Highway 33, left on Sherman Parkway, then right on Cinammon Teal.
